Sea of Pink Anti-bullying Day
Del Van Gorder School in solidarity against bullying in schools, families and workplaces wore pink on Friday, November 23!
The Sea of Pink has its origins in Nova Scotia where two senior high school students called their peers to action in support of a younger male student who was the victim of bullying for wearing pink to his new school. The two spread the word to their peers and it was literally a sea of pink at school the next day - everyone was wearing pink in support of the new student. So, the Sea of Pink is a day to wear pink and pledge to stand up for victims of bullying everywhere.
